Our service is private ADHD titration instead of waiting for NHS funding through Right to Choose. Our assessments are free and include the cost of one prescription.

Titration

A highly skilled consultant psychiatrist will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your ADHD. This will include a medical history and an assessment using the standard ADHD rating scales and questionnaires.

After your examination, you will be advised that medication may be beneficial in your case. This will take place at your follow-up appointment (which could be in person by video link, in person or via phone). Your physician will go over the various medication options available. If you decide to start taking medication, we will offer you the option of titrating your dose to maximize the benefits/side effects balance for you.

This process may take a few weeks and requires gradually altering your child's dosage until the proper balance is achieved. It is not uncommon to have to adjust up to three different medications until you discover the one that best fits your child's ADHD. Parents must take part in this process of titration and keep an watchful eye on their child's behavior, so that they can inform the doctor if the medicine is helping or causing side effects.

If you decide to go back to NHS treatment you will receive a private prescription for your medication. You will have to pay the pharmacy. Annual reviews are also required.

Follow-up appointments

Medication
