1. Engine Speed Sensor

The grey wire is situated at the edges of the transmission, directly above the flywheel ring. The sensor transmits an electrical signal through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU then utilizes this information to regulate the boost, fuel, and timig. It also sends an indication to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.

The sensor is used to link with the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu must know when the crankshaft has reached TDC and also where the camshaft lies in order to activate the spark and injectors.

If this sensor fails the ECU will display the P00160 error, which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are not in sync and possibly indicating the chain is stretched or a jump link on the upper chain of timing. However, the code won't appear on its own, without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).

It's a bit tricky to test because there are various connector pins, and each one has different functions. The best method for doing this is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. 2. Injectors

Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at maximum speed, i noticed a huge drop in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, 3 were soaked with gazoline and the fourth was dry.
